DIRECTIONS
The park is about a half hour drive from i90 where it crosses the Hudson River.

FROM OUT OF TOWN

FROM THE NORTH
Take i87 (the Northway) south to i90. Take i90 EAST to exit 4 (Route 85). Follow directions that say "From Route 85."

FROM THE SOUTH
Take i87 north to exit 24 (i90). Take i90 EAST to exit 4 (Route 85). Follow directions that say "From Route 85."

FROM THE WEST
Take i90 into Albany. Take exit 24 to STAY ON I90. Take i90 EAST to exit 4 (Route 85). Follow directions that say "From Route 85."

FROM THE EAST
Take i90. If coming from MA, be sure to STAY ON 90 by taking the exit for it shortly before it meets the NYS Thruway. Once you cross the Hudson you will be in Albany. Take exit 4 (Route 85). Follow directions that say "From Route 85."

**FROM ROUTE 85**
Take Route 85 "WEST" (a lot of it is actually going south).
It begins as a divided highway but then merges, becoming a normal road. Go straight through the first traffic light, following the road around a curve to the left.
The road ends at a T with a traffic light. Go RIGHT to continue on NY-85. You will pass under a railroad bridge after about 2 miles.
Continue on, going straight for approximately 8m. Turn Right onto Route 157 at the big sign that says "John Boyd Thacher State Park".
